We Were Soldiers. IMHO, the best ever War Film ever done - particularly the Broken Arrow scene.

Yes Vaz, i was hoping that We Were soldiers was going to come up, i really enjoyed that film!!

As for LoTR, i prefered the Twin towers battle to the RoTK one even though it was much smaller, as people have already said, the tension, the weather, the desparation of the defence was outstanding. Was that the battle the elf and the dwarf were keeping score on how many kills they had? Made me laugh that!! :D

Real Men/Women/Aliens/Heretics/Warp Spawned Filth/Big Scary Space Monsters play Battlefleet Gothic... why dont you???

There has always been one thing that annoys me about that bit of the film. When the camera shifts to the german gunner in the bunker you can see there are like 5 guys on the beach, then it switchs to the beach and its filled with guys. That just ruined it for me. I love the end battle scene of that film.

We where soldiers has some great scenes, the broken arrow one is a bit sad got to hate friendly fire.

The Battle of Stirling in Braveheart was a classic. Also the beach landing where Achilles takes the Trojan beach basically by himself in Troy.

Gandalf Vs. Balrog

The Dominion vs. Starfleet/Klingons/Everyone else in the last couple episodes of Star Trek: DS9, I know it's not a movie but....

Currently Playing:
Warhammer 40k: Dark Eldar - Chaos Daemons - Sisters of Battle
Warmachine/Hordes: Retribution of Scyrah - Circle Orboros
Malifaux: Outcasts - Neverborn - Resurrectionists

Saving Private Ryan's opening seen finished in the cinema and i realised i was nearly wrenching the arms off the seat - awesome!
Also loved the defence of the helicopter by the 2 spec ops marines in Black Hawk Down - that was genius filming.
However my favourite isnt a battle scene but the gunfight through LA in Heat. That rolling scene through the streets is brilliant, the sounds of the guns amidst the noise of the city gives it a realistic feel.

Know that someone out there is gonna hate on this but the scene where Prime dies in Transformers 2 was pretty epic.
