Action films these days are pure bollocks.

I prefer a bit of realism in my movies. People throwing others through walls, dodging bullets and jumping over buildings is crap.

Give me a Sweeny style dust up any day.

I concur to some extent, but for me though the epitome of action awesomeness are the anti-heros. For reference, see most of what Kurt Russell was doing in the 80s i.e. Snake Plissken in Escape from New York, Jack Burton in Big Trouble in Little China, and Lt. Gabriel Cash in Tango and Cash. Not only good action but fucking funny too...
