Default Favorite "Classic" cartoon show?

Basically, what was your favorite cartoon when you were young (Or younger, as the case may be)? I use the term "classic" loosely, as the forum contains a wide variety of ages; some might fondly remember Johnny Quest, while others preferred Darkwing Duck or even The Flintstones.

As for myself, it would have to be the original Scooby Doo cartoon (Before Scrappy and any of the more recent heresies). The monsters were suitably scary for a young mind, and they wrapped up each "mystery" nicely with the big reveal; The team pulls off the mask, and...
"It was Old Mr. Jezlad the whole time!"
"And I would've gotten away with it, too, if it hadn't been for you meddling kids!"

Good times...

Darkwing Duck was actually my favorite cartoon that I could still remember.

If a child asks how Santa lives forever, simply reply he drinks blood.

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poke me in the ribs and cackle, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started to do the same thing to them at funerals.

I'm going to have to go with either Danger Mouse or The Herculoids.

Danger Mouse was funny as hell while The Herculoids was just bad-ass.

C'mon, a battle rhinoceros/triceratops that shoots exploding rocks from his horn AND a dragon that shoots lasers from his eyes and tail? That is pure win right there.

Its hard to hold onto just one of them, I was a sucker for Hasbro backed cartoons, ie Mask, Dino Riders, He Man, Transformers, Visionaries, Thundercats etc but at the same time I like some of the detailed longer ones such as Ulysses and Cities of Gold.

As a Bigger kid (probably in my 20's) I really liked Gargoyles.

However if I had to pick, probably nothing beats a good Tom and Jerry cartoon. They still make me chuckle today.

Gotta be Gargoyles: I just loved that show... then it went away and there are no dvds I can get hold of.

After that I liked the most recent He-Man series (kind of like the old one but oooh it makes me cringe a lot!) but currently I like World of Quest. I'm odd and I like it!

Come to Heresy's very own Warhammer Fantasy Battle forum!
