Bale wins hands down. He is the actor who has portrayed Batman as he was in the DC comics. No-one else, apart from maybe Val Kilmner, has come close to the dark, aggressive, vigilante Batman was meantt o represent.

Christian Bale clearly wins it for me. Exactly how Batman should be.

Bale wins it for me, though George Clooney did a good job they just got kind of hard to take seriously (Clooney's batman I mean, he wasnt dark enough and didnt do the comic justice)

The origonal tv sierise with the ridiculosly over the top everything. To everyone who thinks the batman comics are suposed to be dark, read the oldies.

Micheal Keaton for me. I thought he did a better job of seperating Bruce Wayne from Batman. Physically he doesn't come across as any type of hero, but put on the suit, and he'll kick your ass. While I like Bale's Batman, he, along with Clooney, too easily fits the stereotype of a superhero's alter ego, fit, handsome and glamorous.

Bale wins it for me, Kilmer made a better Batman than Keaton, but the Keaton films were better.

Damn straight on both counts, especially Ledger. I will never be able to see anyone else as the Joker again.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

What?! No mention of Kevin Conroy from the Animated Series?

Much as Mark Hamil was my favorite Joker (Heath Ledger's Joker was fantastic, but it was a darker, different kind of Joker. Perfect for the new movies, but not my favorite), Kevin Conroy's Batman voice has been my gold standard.

Bale is the best of the live actors, but his batman voice is, quite frankly, silly.
Too snarly and growly, like he;s a little kid trying to make a monster voice. Kevin Conroy was able to give Bruce and the Bat both markedly different voices wghile still makaging to make them similar enough to be the same person.
