My favourite is the Hollywood magazine. Wish I had one of them!!

Stick a V8 in it!

Yeah...I always laugh at the 'cornucopia' effect movie mags seem to possess...

Man, the Bible makes no sense to me.

Aye I think anyone who watched a series of Mythbusters knows how accurate most things is cinema are... some of my faves, are you are better off using a small velocity gun to shoot someone in water, anything from a powerful handgun/machine gun or bigger (hand weapons obviously) disentergrate on impact with the water as noted by someone above.

Jason Bourne should have died when he jumped through the window in Ultimatium, either by bouncing off and falling to his death, or getting shreaded by the glass.

It is nigh impossible to get a car to explode by shooting it in the gas tank. Need a bolter round equivently which most folks don't have access to.

I also get bugged by things in films where the foks suddenly get a touch of 'superman syndrome' and seen invulnerable to injuries which no Human could ignore, no matter who much a Ninja/Pirate/nutjob they are. A good example is the baddy woman in Die Hard 4 who gets hit by a car doing at least 40mph probably more like 50-60, and then is driven into the wall of a lift shaft.. yet is within moments ninja kicking Willis in the face.... wtf!

Nice idea foir a thread though btw.

gotta love movie injuries, someone gets shot or stabbed and is up and about doin all sorts of shit even with the limb that was damaged. being stabbed HURTS and between the blood spurting all over the damn place the stitches it takes to close up the hole and the pain after it most of the time you're not doin anythin with that arm for a while. triple it for bein shot

when you gotta shoot, shoot. Don't talk...

I quite like rubbish that happens in films myself. After all, I play a game with flying bikes, magicmen and demons in it...

Some people thought all the leaping around on bamboo stalks and mid-air fighting in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" etc was utterly preposterous... but we were brought up with films where people were hit with chairs, and they'd shake their heads, then carry on with the fight... and the chair would break.

I mean, ****ing hell, have you ever been hit with a chair before? The only conclusion I can draw is that in the Old West, chairs were made of candy and cowboys were made of rock.

Oh, and that smashing noise when people get punched on the jaw - did someone just drop a wine-bottle or something... and the people doing the punching hardly ever break their fingers...

People closing their eyes when they die on film... that pigs me off. Really. The rest I can suspend disbelief for.

:yeah, mostly not caring too much because it is after all made up cyclops:

Maybe not in a movie but war games, when you shot somebody in the torso it WILL have them on the floor in a pool of blood. Damn its annoying that a lot of the time only headshots will kill first shot.

Also, it is a physical impossibility to make a boat of that size out of wood. I dont care if it is a myth, but the boat would split apart under the weight of itself.
