Default Strategy for 2000pt List

I was wondering how would you deploy and fight with a list like this under each of the three deployment and mission types.

Deceiver 300
Warriors x13 234
Warriors x13 234
Destroyers x15 750
Monolith x2 470

Total 1988

Thanks in advance

Well IMO, your strategy should be based on what you KNOW will be your opponents strategy. Phasing you out. Pretty much they will get into CC with your warriors. Use your Destroyers to try and clear their objectives/power units. While your lith protects your warriors waiting for them to rush. As they come forward, counter rush with your deciever and start moving a squad of your warriors up towards their objectives. Move your monolith as well, it should still be within range for good firing after one or two moves. Hopefully your deciever will be able to stave off their rush attack, in which you can then move your lith/warriors to finish clearing their objective and take it.

Sorry just saying that this thread should be in the tactics section, but whilst im here it wouldnt hurt to help.

Set up
Put the warriors in reserve to come in from your side of the board and NOT to teleport through the monoliths.
(This helps with phase out)

Have your destroyer squads stick togeth in the middle.
(This means that they can keep rolling for WBB against failed saves)

Make sure the Deceiver is near the edge of the board.
(It doesn't matter which side it's just to flank your enemy and give them a tough target)

Put the monoliths on the opposite edge to the Deceiver.
(Once again to flank your enemy with a tough target)

Tactics
Bring the warriors in from reserves to protect out phase out on the first few turns. From there go to cover and shoot infantry.

Move where needed blowing infantry apart (make sure you take out infantry that stop you making WBB rolls), but keep together to make sure you can make your WBB rolls.

Walk the Deceiver up the edge of the board to take out tanks, infantry and what ever can stop people making WBB rolls.

Monoliths do the same as the Deceiver but using their weapons in sync to maximise potential damage. By this I mean both using the same weapon at the same target unless you destroy it with one.

If you need to capture objectives do the same but teleport you warriors through the monolith after walking onto the board.

If you use this tactic you should do very well. Hope this helps.

BTW, no-offense, if you post that list for advice in the list section we could work wonders (a shout out for darklove!)

The deployment depends so much on what the terrain looks like and also the type of opponent you are facing.

In general, always keep your Warriors in reserve and bring them on from the table edge as late in the game as you can hope for.

Use your Monoliths to advance on the objectives, if there are any, and therefore deploy them as close to the objectives as possible. You should keep the Monoliths close together if you can, it looks cool and makes enemies shit themselves. It also has the advantage of protecting your other units from LoS - meaning they can't be hurt from shooting.

Destroyers: start with them deployed behind the Monolith pair, and then move them out on your first turn of shooting. This protects them from the enemy until they have had a chance to shoot at least once. Deploy like this even if you rolled to take the first turn, just in case you have the initiative stolen from you. Always keep the models spaced well, but the units close together - this way it will be hard for templates to kill many, and the units will support each other in WBB.

The Deceiver - it depends so much on the enemy. I like to play him forward but using large cover as much as possible. This is because he will be a target, which isn't a problem, but the enemy will think they have a chance if it looks like you need cover to protect him. They will also misjudge his movement because people forget that they ignore terrain for movement.

Can't give much more advice because everything is so dependent on the situation.
