I think you need a second res orb in that list- you would be forced to spread out enough so that 1 just wont cover the majority of your army: any S8+ large blast weaponry will just change aim to hit those guys not covered by an orb. There isnt an obvious unit to drop to get the lord in, although I would either take 1 of the immortal units or mebbe a unit of warriors to make room.

Personally Im not a fan of the lightning field, especially when not with scarabs
Quote:
Q. Do saved wounds trigger a lightning field?
A. The Strength 3 hits from a lightning field are
from unsaved wounds only.
from necron FAQ- you're going to have to lose 9 warriors before the lightning field averages just 1 kill on MEQs... you would have to consistantly be getting 75% of the crons back for that to be worthwhile (and if you lose combat that badly chances are the unit would be broken and then sweeping advanced anyway)... why it works so nicely on scarabs is that they can lose lots of wounds and live (and not break.. just take more wounds).

Other then those adjustments I think its a nice list

I like it, looks a pretty solid pahlanx. Im guessing a lot of people would want to see more destroyers but I recon 10 is plenty at 2k when backed up by immortals.

A second monolith would be nice for claming or contesting objectives in the later rounds. Park them or deep strike them next to objectives and use them to teleport a squad in the later rounds right next to or on an objective. Thats if it's not destroyed of coarse. To do this I'd drop both destroyer squads and beef up the immortal squads to 2 units of 10. I think you may even have some points left over. You lose alot of long range fire power, but the extra particle whip should make up for it.

You lack long range support.
You have too many Warriors.
You got the points for the Monolith wrong.
2 Lords are not needed.

3 units of 10 Warriors is more than enough if you want to go objective grabbing. You need Destroyers if you want to be competitive. With this many points you can also afford 3 Monoliths, but please go back to the codex and check the points. 2 Lords is just a point sink unless they are a fundamental part of your strategy. You don't have a strategy, so don't take them. I almost never use Rez Orbs these days unless I'm making a Destroyer Lord assault based list, usually I use the C'tan. It is the best way to protect your Phase Out because you can be sure your enemy will spend 2-3 turns of shootinig every gun they have at it, and even then there is no way to be sure of killing it. That leaves the rest of your army to safely cap objectives.

Here is what I recomend. Use the Monoliths as a wall to shield your army walk across the table killing a ton of stuff with the particle whips and keep the God behind the wall if sombody wants to come behind the monoliths and feels frisky he can deal with them. The orb still gets you up from insta kill weapons and veil can help in lots of ways. there are other ways to play this but believe me when your competition see 3 monoliths and a God they will freak.

Classic Warrior spam technique. Its starting to be countered now so I'd recommend against it. Its very weak to CC characters. I would say listen to Darklove here; He's got a very solid grasp on what to do. And if you can take a third monolith, you should do it; Monoliths and destroyers are vital. Take as many of those two things as seem reasonable for points.

PS: Never use Armybuilder. The best army builder is your codex, a pen, and paper (Or Word).

To be honest, the min-max full Destroyer formation is almost unstoppable at 2k. If all your enemies are dead you win automatically, regardless of the mission type.

Deceiver
20 Warriors
15 Destroyers
9 Heavy Destroyers
=2,000pts

Most of your army will be T5+, with a good save, able to move 12" and shoot, and can turbo out of danger if needed.

I've played this a few times and word gets around fast, people really dread facing it.

I believe this is right but if not let me know ive tried taking all advice but i dont like VoD because thats what Monoliths do and they have more benefits like re-rolls on WBB.

Is this OK?
