2000 pt vs IG/DA

I have a game against a friedn of mine who will be fielding either IG, Dark Angels or a mix of both. I want to us emy 'cron mostly coz he's scared of them.

Here we go:


Nightbringer

Destroyer Lord w/ Warscythe, Phase Shifter.

3 x 10 Warriors

5 x Immortals

3 x Destroyers

3 x Wraiths

6 x Scarabs

1 x H. Destroyer

1 x Tomb Spider

1 x Monolith


I belive this all comes in at 1996 points. Phase Out at 11 necrons.

The only thigns i have left to swap in/out are 10 warriors, 4 more scarab swarms, 4 Pariahs, a Lord w/ Orb & the Deceiver.

I would never use this list because I like to make use of the Necron's special WBB rules. This list does not actively support WBB across the army, which is a big problem vs IG that can splat you with Ordnance from a mile away.

This isn't really a playable list, it is more a description of what is in the codex. You need to go back to square 1 and start over. Double up all units, think about your own playing style, and start from that. Tbh, I could beat this 2k list with my standard 1.5k list, and probably not take many losses at all.
Turn 1: your Destroyers and Immortals die (no WBB)
Turn 2: spam the Wraiths with general shooting (again no WBB), and then go to town on the short ranged Warriors from a safe 36"+ away.

Might not cause Phase Out for a while, but will prevent your army from doing anything.

Unfortunately i only have 5 immortals and 3 destroyers. I'd field more if i had them (i love immortals but can't afford to buy metal models in the number that i would want).

On the up side i know for a fact that my opponent only has 1 lema russ in temrs of ordnance. he might be bringing some DA to make up the number in which case he will also have a vindi.

If he brings DA you are probably completely fucked. DA's key feature is lots of Plasma weapons = no armour saves. Combine this with the fact that your units are small and you pretty much won't get a chance to use WBB.
I suggest you keep EVERYTHING in cover at all times and and think about investing in a balanced, and sensible, army.

Recommend a core of 30 Warriors and 8 Destroyers, the filler is up to you.

You can probably find some cheap deals on Destroyers on e-bay - people often even sell them in groups of 3.
