Default What is it?

Good morning all

If this is the wrong section, sorry could you please relocate it. Cheers

Just brought some bits from EBay. They arrived today, They’re were five old school lead terminators, 2 x cyclone with weird hand thingies, 1 x assault cannon with chain fist, 1x storm bolter with power fist, 1 x who knows?

My questions are as follows

What is this

http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/7915/unknownxa4.jpg

And is it some sort of target thingy on his hand, and is it needed to use the cyclone missile launcher in the new codex, or can I just count it as a Power fist?

Thanks in advance for your help

What you have there my freind is a old school Inquisitior in terminator armour, you could count the weapon in his hand as a psycannon. As for the things in the cyclone terminators hands, in the second to last edition of the space marine codex cyclone missile operators had to use a hand held targeter to aim the missile launcher, however that has since been changed. You could use it as a power fist I suppose although I would just grab some powerfists of a bits site and change them.

I had a feeling it was an old inquisitor, I like using weird and wonderful bodies for my terminators, I’ve got the old inquisitor with a bionic leg, as my assault cannon terminator, and the old terminator captain, with grenade launcher on his power fist, and respirator mask, as a normal troop.

Do inquistors still have there own rules? If so what chapter uses them?

Yep, old school Ordo Malleus inq in terminator armour with psycannon and force rod.

You can use them in an army as allies these days (either as an inq or inq lord - but the lords REQUIRE a retinue [game rule] as well as occupying an HQ slot).

The targeter for the cyclone is now built into the launcher. Nowadays, all terminators have powerfists (for SM, may be different for DA/BA) except sgts, so counts-as is fine.

Just to clarify:

It's an RT model. circa 1991. One of the two Inqusitors in terminator armour. This page is from stuff of legends site, and the copyright on the page confirms 1991, which was still the Rogue Trader period (ie, pre 2nd ed). The inq on the right with the bionic leg was frequently bundled with the pointing powerfist and needler-bolter.

I have this Inquisitor model still unpainted and unassembled. Was always trying to remember how old it really is. Thanks for finding that.

that page is from the 1992 40k "blue" catalog, i still have a copy of that... in good condition too. although as with a lot of the marine and imperial models in the catalog, they are actually from a much earlier date.

i have both of those inquisitor models, and they both have 1989 on the base tab...
the inquisitor with mechanical leg i have is still in the unopened blister too.... with a price tag of around £3 or $6.50.... lol.. ill post a pic of him soon. i bought him from ebay, and he didnt cost me $6.50 either.... ... worth having him, but my GF thought i was nuts.

brilliant models. i had 2 of the chaos termies above too but sadly they have been well lost.
