In comparison to the rules on taking guard and marine allies, taking witch/daemon hunters as allies for each other seems a bit more grey to me. Checked FAQ for both not had no luck on these questions:
cant take guard allies if marines are taken, fine. cant take
GKs or
SoBs if marines are present, fine. you can only take the stated number of witch/daemon hunters as allies in marines/guard, fine but what about for example...
I'm planning a witch hunter army, is the choice/number of daemon hunter allies that can be taken the same for witch hunters as for guard/marines?
Can I take allies from two different armies as long as they don't clash? e.g take both guard AND daemonhunters allies in a witch hunter army? if so, how many of each can I take?
Can I take both daemon hunter AND witch hunter allies in a guard army?
Can I take an ordo malleus inquisitor lord as an ally in a witch hunter army even though I have already taken an ordo hereticus inquisitor lord as they're technically different so it wouldn't actually be breaching their 0-1 limit?
cheers,
