I think the vyper might work for the cockpit part. You would have to sculpt and plasticard a lot more to bulk up the front and back. The front will be the hardest to build because its not flat. Cut up plastic cups might work if you can cut and line them up properly. Everything else shouldn't be that hard to do.
If you can find the BATMAN Batwing kit in a local model store it will suit the purpose.
Generally available for around $20-25 USD.
The scale is about right and its cheap enough that if and when they actually release a kit of the actual one, then you probably wouldn't mind replacing it for it.
