What I learned from stripping my models

A few leasons I learned when I stripped my DA tac squads to turn them into smurfs.

  1. If you have a heavy hand with the brush (like I unfortunatly do) you are probably not going to get all the paint of without a LOT of work, even using simple green. But you will still get enough off to reprime them.

  • If you prime your sprues before you put the models together there is a good chance that parts will fall off when you take the toothbrush to them.

  • Plastic models float. Weight them down with a nut or something while you a soaking them
I'm sure there are more, but that's all I can think of right off.

Just out of interest what did you use to do the stripping?

I've just got a cheap electric toothbrush. Im going to try this out and see if this makes taking of this stuff any easier.
