quick question about ultramarine chaplain and backpacks

having glued everything but the backpacko n my ultramarine chaplain cassius, i have run into a problem, the shoulder pads are blocking the backpack from fitting in completely

has this ever happened to anyone?

also, on the backpack, there are two holes, one for glueing to the back of a marine, and one just above it, does that hole serve a purpose?

I think thats just part of the mold.No real purpose.
If he uses a standard backpack try filing a bit away to make fit.

I have noticed it happen to a few models now and then, its usually becasue of the shoulder pads, as you have found, it happened on a few of the older Chaplains as well, I would do as Eisenhorn Suggested, but careful not to file too much away

Alternatively, you can clip the entire peg away, and fill the hole in the backpack with green stuff so it lies flat. It won't be as sturdy a bond as having the peg in the backpack, but it's an alternative.

Or leave the peg if you can and just fill the gap with GS. Very easy to do and takes little time.

However, that shortcut approach often looks bad, particularly on certain of older models.

The extra hole is there so they can save $$ on plastic for the molding process.

Glue the back pack on first seems the best option, then you can play around with the pads.

Yeah, they do have second holes. No big deal really, doesn't really effect it cosmetically.
