I ordered the Cygnar paint range from Maelstrom Games yesterday afternoon, and I want to try them out in place of the Citadel paints, using the AOBR sergeant as a test case. Previously I've used Menoth White and Khador Red, but in conjunction with the Citadel paints, and I'm wondering if there's anyone else who's used/uses them in place of the Citadel paints?
I've used a few for a year and a half now - they have good coverage, especially the reds and whites which gives them an immediate advantage to GW paints.
The pots are also much better, they are the same as the original citadel paint pots.
I still prefer Vallejo though since the dropper bottles make getting paint onto a wet pallette much easier.
I use P3 paints all of the time, often in conjunction with other brands of paints and inks (Citadel included).
The coverage for P3s tends to be above average, although it is still dependent on the color you're using.
They also tend to give you a nice smooth finish.
