I have been commisioned for a large army, and want to know if anyone knows how to make a dark blue wash out of inexpensive things. I have lots of acryilic paints, I'm not sure if I have any ink but I could look. What I want to do is dip them after I basecoat and drybrush them. Any kind of help would be awesome. Thanks everyone.
I have to ask why you think you need so much of it? im fairly confident 2 pots of GW wash will cover even the largest army unless your blathering it on?
For the sake of argument, though, you can dilute Apple Barrel craft paint (which runs like two dollars for a bottle that's five times the size of a pot of GW paint, and honestly of comparable quality...which says something about the poor quality of GW paint...) with Matte Medium. You want about 80% matte medium, and 20% paint. Just get an empty quart bottle, and you'll be good to go.
