i have just finished this guy, he was my first attempt at highlighting and making my own bases, i wanted it to look like a real muddy area, well let me know what you think and where i can improve, cheers
The highlighting looks good on the blue, but the white areas are letting it down a little bit. Building the white up more slowly or trying some anti-highlighting would bring the model together.
the base was easy, i used some tooth pics for the fence, some modeling grass, and used plastic modeling liquid putty for the mud, then i used a tooth pic as the putty dried and just made it messy.
painted it with a black undercoat, then a brown coat, and a stone drybrush
yes, my next thing is to learn to use wash more effectively, thanks for the comments
