Hey everyone, I am in the process of painting my first army which is going to be Black Legion. They are fairly simple to paint but I really like BL because I am a fan of the fluff, not because I wanted easy to paint models. So I wanted to ask for some tips on improving their painting looks.
From most of the decent painters I have spoken with and the work of others I have seen on youtube and through this site, it seems to me that a good way to really bring out the detail in a model is to start off with a wash over the entire thing after it has been primed and then start layering up color from there.
Unfortunately, Black Legion's colors are well.... black generally speaking. So this doesn't allow for alot of play or alot of ability to really try and bring out the details in the black. Do you painters out there have any tips for bringing out the black or washes that would work well with what I am trying to do?
Any other helpful tips for improving mostly black models would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
