Painting Whites for Ceramics
Right, so, here's another post relating to Necrons.
My dynasty uses the standard metal scheme with my own twist on it, I like to paint the heavier armor on my models as a ceramic or porcelain style, this is in the new Ceramite White over a standard black basecoat followed up with a glaze of 'Ardcoat.
It generally looks good, but I've been having trouble applying the white in a way which doesn't cause it to streak rather badly on the first coat, causing the undercoat to be partially visible. It normally takes two or three to get a matte white finish I'm happy with glazing. Is there an easier way to use the white I'm missing which could let me cut down on the coats? Or should I just stick with the multiple coats?
Pics so you have an idea of what I'm on about. This is the finished product.
