This is the Mycetic Spore that I made for my wife's new 'nid army. Started by covering a foam rubber football in air-dry terracotta and then added the veins and ridges. Still have to add the disembark portal and let the wife paint it but I think it is coming along nicely. Any ideas on how to improve it?

Perhaps bumps to suggest that the outer shell is permeable?

I have been thinking about several variants of this. I wasn't really satisfied with the surface. At this point I don't know how to add any surface variation to the model as the clay has already hardened, but future versions will probably include more surface texture. Thank you for your input. I am very new to making my own models so I can use all of the ideas that are lobbed at me.

it needs more tentacles on it, and the ones that are there, arent joined with the others very well. maybe some green stuff will offer a quick fix before its primed. its stilll faaar better than my mycetic spores, so for that i give it a 7
