With the turn of the new year and our recent 5th year anniversary I want to freshen the place up a bit. We need fresh BLOOD
(actually I need company in the mod chatbox during the wee hours of the morning..)
I do have a few prospective mods in mind but I'm open to any and all applications and tend not to approach people, preferring instead for them to demonstarte a desire to step up to the Golden Throne.
If you want to join us please let me know here or via PM with some ideas and suggestions you have to improve or implement new functions.

Hello again everyone! Commissar Ploss here, your eccentric Senior Mod, and Owner of TheFoundingFields.com!
Last year, i set out on a quest with my charity drive TFFGivesBooks. It was a drive to help supply books from Black Library (the publishing division of Games Workshop) to kids who otherwise wouldn't be able to buy/acquire them for themselves. It was a hearty attempt stimulate the growth and visibility of the books we love to read as well as doing something helpful for the community. I'm happy to say that we succeeded!
Thanks to your help and the help of my friends in the wargaming industry, we were able to raise $1550 to purchase books for those less fortunate. I then successfully delivered the check and several boxes of donated books to shelters... [Read More]

Greetings fellow heretics! Some of you might remember that a couple of years ago I ran a monthly feature over in the Other Systems forum called 'Game of the Month' in which each month a different Non-GW game system had its own bitesize review including an introduction to the game and its creators, an overview of the gameplay, some information on the miniatures involved accompanied by pictures, a list of stockists and a rating out of 10.
Starting as of January 1st 2012, just over 3 years after the feature originally started running, it will be returning. I just wanted to make a quick announcement for this to let people know before the first review is posted and forgotten about. Recently I found about about this new form of site monetization that I figured the webmasters, bloggers and site owners in our hobby ought to know about.
It's totally hidden, isn't intrusive and basically gets you a few extra dollars a month (or day...dunno yet) to buy new models etc. I know a huge proportion of the people that read this won't give a shit but in the interests of the handful that do run blogs it's well worth adding the code, they accept anyone, any website no matter how big it is. Run it in the background with adsense and you'll soon be away from free hosting and into the realms of proper website administration.
