That's the Spangdahlem air base I guess ?

I'm not exactly your neighbour, but then Spangdahlem is really out there in no-man's-land so to speak, but rather living in Aachen, which is about 140 km north from your new home and, according to google route planer one hour and forty minutes by car. The city of Trier (which has a GW as well), to the south, would of course be a lot closer.
There's a GW in Aachen, as well as a wargaming club. Might not be the closest thing, but just letting you know.
And, you wouldn't need to learn more German to play against me, I've been using the English version rulebooks / codices / army books etc. ever since, even when they started to print German translation versions in the late nineties.
In any case, have a good move and all !

40k Armies: Dark Eldar / Adepta Sororitas
WHFB Armies: Vampire Counts / Empire / various Elves
Horus Heresy: Alpha Legion / Warp Cult

Well I lived there for 2 years while in USAF. It's a great place and you will be able to find gamers there. I'm into 40k b/c of a guy I met while stationed there. As for the GW in Trier, it's on the southern end of the walkplatz, and was damn cool as I recall. Trier is about a 20 minute drive from Bitburg/30 minutes from Spang. Shoot me a PM if you wanna know anymore.
