Norwich Gamers

Hi all, I'm thinking about restarting my expensive warhammer life....

just wondered if there were any gamers in norwich? I tried the clubs and, well, dunno all seemed a little OTT to me, nothing against the guy each to their own and all that but i'm more of a fan of a game and a beer rather than a game then another game.

I'm not really a competitive player, I like to win but i'd much rather enjoy a game rather than be so concerned with a massively competitive list just for bragging rights.....all though that said I did like my steam tank

let me know locals

Hiya
Dont know where the gaming places are around the city these days, but the Norwich club usto meet at the British Legion place on Aylsham Road (think it was a monday evening) but havnt been along there in years. If your willing to head a bit further out then Coltishall had a fantastic club but they tended to be a bit more competative (so maybe not game and beer mentality).

I live in Norwich, and I agree the gaming stores are a bit...OTT as you put it.

I'm not really in to gaming at the moment, but if I do get back in to it I'll let you know. Also there is a place called battlenet (I think?) on or near st. stevens street, and they used to do it there, don't know if they do now.

I think you will find that Battlenet closed some time ago!

Never went there myself so wouldn't know. There are still banners for it up though last time I looked.

I did venture to battlenet when i gamed last - seemed more geared around 40k and there were loads of kids flying about so I stopped going... tried aftermath, they were a nice bunch just dunno didn't really feel very accepted or welcomed so stopped gaming altogether as I was fed up with having it all all over the place doing nothing.

I've been offered a job in yarmouth so might take up the old club again and try something new - GW prices have gone up loads since last i played....but must admit it's all still tempting lol
