California Players

Wanted to start this thread for meet ups and better communications between members of Heresy-Online. To make it easier for some fellow forum members that can meet up with and have fun.

Good for also looking for information on tournaments or exchange info if anyone wants to notify anyone in Cali. Or anything and just meet up and have a good time playing.

I'll just start it off. I'm from San Jose in the Bay Area and already meet a member of Heresy at the nearby GW store for trade, which was fun.

I'm in California as well. I live in the high desert but travel to the Ontario GW often so I can meet up for games or modeling projects.

I'm in SoCal too! Are you referring to the Ontario GW off the 10 and Mountain Ave morfang?

Yes, that is the one that I go to when I get a chance or over to GMI when I get a chance to go play since there are no stores where I live. The two hobby stores in Victorville sell GW but don't host gaming.

I play at Game Kastle near the San Jose airport. They meet up to play 40k on Monday and Thursday Evenings, as well as Sunday mornings. The 40k club is called Bay Area Dogs of War. It can get to about anywhere from 5 people to a lot more from what I've seen. The store itself has very VERY nicely built terrain for gaming needs.

Store Website is here:

Check out the Events Calender. A tourney is coming up this Saturday (Dec. 12, 2009). Hope to see you around.

Inquisitor Lawliet, what is the point level that is usually seen for the 40K nights? What time do people get to GK ?

I'd like to get out to do some gaming.

Thx. Gunthar

I usually go Sunday mornings at around noon time. I'll most likly be there again this Sunday.

As for 40K nights, Thursday nights are when the most people show up more freqeuntly, as I am told. Don't expect too many people this week since people are on vacation overall.

However as far as point levels, they can be as small as 500 pts for beginners up to 2000 pts as I have seen in my last gaming session. Once the guys there held an apocalypse event, 3 vs 3, each person with 3500 pts. It was very intense and pictures of it can be seen on the website.

Bring what you can and ask around. People can accommodate for your points.

Thanks for the reply - If I don't get stuck working, I may try to be there on Sunday.

My only apoc game so far was just 2 people - 10,000 pts for each of us - my Eldar vs his Space Marines. Took all night to play on 3 tables.
