Wagga Wagga 40K Social Club has been formed to allow players to meet, greet and organise games both during club timings and amongst ourselves outside of the club. It is intended for 40K players but Fantasy and Lord of the Rings players are most welcome. All you have to bring is your Armies, Dice, Books and Templates. All the tables and terrain are there all set up and ready for you do battle with your opponent and have fun. There is also a painting table for those of you who wish to get some work done in a friendly atmosphere, with help and critique at hand from other members. Just bring your paints and brushes. Membership and your first visit is free, just turn up and fill in a form on the day. Children under 16 must bring a parent or guardian for duty of care.
We have a Facebook group which is the place to be for all of our up to date information and scheduled meet days.
Our group has developed very very quickly, with great responce from our community.
Our first meet saw 35 people turn up and stay for the duration. It was overwhelming to have such great responce. There were 8 tables set up on the day and all were used consistently throughout the day.
Our second meet was out of cycle and held in a garage (Due to insurance issues with out centre - all sorted now - hooray) and was a painting day. 15 people arrived and put paint to mini, sharing skills and ideas.
Our third meet in schedule for saturday 30th May 09 at our local centre - details on Facebook (link above). It will be Apocalypse themed with a great super heavy up for grabs....
We have a Doubles event to be held over the NSW School Hoildays (11 July 09) and our Winter Painting Comp the day after (12 July 09).... details on the groups page.
If there are any Aussie players that can travel to Kapooka, Wagga Wagga NSW. PLease PM or email me for more details if you would like to attend any of our meets/events. We already draw from surrounding townships as far out as Tumut.
For those who are just having a read due to being on the other side of the pond, please take the time to look at our new group on Facebook and our pictures of the centre. Feed back is always welcome.......
