Oh dear.

1 hour into playing this game and I can tell I'll never put it back into Fifas reserved area.

That game is shit. Anyone that says otherwise is wearing GW tinted glasses.

Battlefield 3, Football Manager 2012 and Fifa 12... only games I'll be getting this year.

They are different genres of games though, I like games like Space Marine, I think it's better than Gears of War tbh, I don't like the killing system in that game. The pvp is a lot of fun to, hope they develop it more, the upgrade system in looks and weaponry is a lot better than Halo or other games, well if you're casual that is.

Everyone has their own taste. If you asked me this game would be a 9.5/10.

I'd give it a 10 for effort, seen as the company never made shooters before (for as far as i've heared) and the fact they stuck very true with the allround 40K Theme.

OK, I don't know how you brits do it, but...

It's ZEE-NOES not ZEE-NOSS

It comes from the root "xeno", which means alien or foreign. See also, "xenophobic" (or philliac, if thats your shtick) Acceptable pronunciations are Zeh-no, or Zee-no.

(Finally got around to single player. Fluff-nerd critiques abound, but this one bothers me... a lot.)

In the Grim Darkness of the Far Future, there is no Common Sense.

I'm almost done and I have to say I have really enjoyed it. It isn't the greatest game but then I wasn't ever expecting it to be. It has some flaws but I've had fun with it and isn't that the whole purpose of a game? I'd probably give it an 8.5 out of 10. The visuals are amazing and they make the game feel so epic. I hope they make a sequel.

The game is fun, but I wish Relic would have taken the ork voices from DoW and used them in this. WTF is up with them calling an astartes a space marine? Orks don't talk like that, they'd call em "mareen boyz". And man MP needs some other sounds besides just grunting. When the MP match starts I expect an astartes or chaos narrator to say something like "Kill these traitors" or "Death to the lackeys of the false emperor". Something.

I have a question regarding the Melta-gun though. In the canon does it operate as a sort of energy shotgun like in this game? I was under the impression that it was a short range anti everything weapon, but not a melee range gun. I mean how is it good against vehicles if you have to be 1 foot from the vehicle....

Also Titus should just be "Ventris" because he gets screwed by Learchus...I mean Leandros.

"Treat your men as you would your own beloved sons, and they will follow you into the deepest valley". - Sun Tzu

"My rule is: If you meet the weakest vessel, attack; if it is a vessel equal to yours, attack; and if it is stronger than yours, also attack..." - Admiral Stepan O. Makarov

"A brave man may fall, but he cannot yield" - Roman proverb

I've finally pulled my self away from the online play... picked the game up Tuesday afternoon beat it Wednesday night (bout 7-10 hours). I love this bolter porn game... the story line is what i would expect from a one track mind of a typical space marine... its a hell of alot better then the PS2 fire warrior... something about a fire warrior devastating everything in its path that seemed strange fluff wise.
