I played the demo and wasn't terribly impressed. I can see it as a fun game, but not something worth 60$. I'll just stick to my pre 2004 games thank you.

Haven`t actually played the full game yet, just the demo, however I do have mixed feelings about it (mostly positive though):

-the matchmaking and character selection for multi seems to be something people complain about.Couldn`t they at least made it so that you can save custom preset classes into different slots (both imperial and chaos) instead of first picking the loadout and then the side?

-game developers continue putting out multiplayer focused games with a very limited selection of maps. This is a huge gripe, and reminds me of what they did with the new Aliens vs Predator game. With AvP they fixed the issue by releasing downloadable map packs which ended up doubling the total number in the end.And quite possibly they will do the same with this game. The problem is that all of this extra DLCs cost. And having to pay more to enjoy a game as it should have been at launch, but isn`t because the devs were lazy/ignorant of demands is no fun.Or maybe they knew exactly that people will need, want and buy additional maps/stuff,and counted on it.I find this type of soulless, rabid capitalism irksome.

All things considered,I will enjoy it when I finally get it,and I hope it will get better over time (expansions and such).

I got the game at launch, and i will say im having a blast with it. Wading into a group of orks with nothing but your chainsword feels spot on. While the story isnt the greatest, its still enjoyable. I usually play RTS/RPG's for amazing stories anyway lol.

As for multiplayer. I have some wait time for when i first join a game, but thats mostly because of my shoddy internet connection. Online feels balanced to me, tho ive heard people complain that the Assualt class is the 'noob' class. which im not understanding, it took time for me to wield them effectively and not die every time i go after a opponent. And a few well placed stalker bolter rounds can put anyone, lvl 1 to 41 in their place.

over all, fun game, cant wait to see what DLC comes out for it.

Some days i swear my dice are trying to get me killed.
Is it bad sportsmanship to cackle evilly during ones game?

I plan on buying this game.
I plan on playing it and cheering when I make things explode.
Then I plan on putting it down, and once in a while picking it up again and making orks explode with a loud BAM BAM BAM from my bolter.
And that is about it... A fun stress relief where I get to play around and shoot up some greenskins.
If I want my mind to crumple, I will play Resident Evil.
If I want a puzzle I will play Portal.
If I want a fun zombie game to play with my 3 year old son, I will play Plants vs Zombies.
If I want some mindless button clicking, I will play Bejeweled.
if I want bolter porn, I will play Space Marine.
and boy do I plan on playing Spess Marine!

If you can whine about it, you haven't been hurt enough.

Got the game earlier and i'm enjoying it to no end. Took a break so my brother can play it but i'll be going back on later tonight.

The gameplay is very fun and wading into a mob of Orks, bolter blasting and my chainsword tearing into them is extremely fun. Nobs are a bit tough to fight without running around but their Nobs, their meant to be tough. The weapons are a blast, the Vengeance Launcher is awesome, it needs to be added into the next SM Codex.

The story seems ok, its not a Halo or Gears of War level story but its solid and enjoyable. Reminds me of the Ultramarines novels, they aren't the greatest but they are still good and you can enjoy reading them. And I can say the same of this game's story, its not the greatest ever but that doesn't mean its bad, its still good and enjoyable.

And the game is of a very nice length. I spent three to four hours playing on normal and i'm only in Part 2 (of 5) Chapter 7. Overall there are sixteen chapters in game so I imagine i'm nearing Part 3.

Haven't tried the multiplayer yet but I intend to do so later on. But my brother is playing it now and I do like what i'm seeing. I get to be a Raptor! My only disappointment is that I can't land on enemies and crush them with my talons like this image.

But on the whole Space Marine is a good solid game. Its not Game of the Year but who cares, its a 40k Xbox game where you get to be a Space Marine. Isn't that enough for most of us?

Anyone who got through this in 5 hours clearly just sprinted through it on easy and skipped all cutscenes. Taken me five hours and I am entering act III...

Also, am I the only one who cant find any "Night Lords" on the chapter list?

[Flerden] 9:05 pm: Why the hell can't he just go offline if he goes to watc tv?

Well, I shall complete it and if I am not satisfied then I shall return it. The disc, I imagine, will remain in very good condition. The box was actually broken when I opened the packaging it came in when it arrived in the post and I'm sure this is valid justification for a return.

Nope, I didn't find any either. They have the legion symbol though. All you need is to customise with midnight blue and bronze. I would have thought they would have all original legions though.
