Deus Ex looks fantastic, but alas I am more of a fan of 40k and Gears of War and so they took priority over it for a time. As did Elder Scrolls: Skyrim once I started to see more and more of it. But after cancelling the collector's version of Skyrim, the rewards didn't justify the cost, I decided I could get another game. And after reading some reviews for Deus Ex and seeing some more trailers it wasn't even a question.

Pre-ordered it last night and set for delivery on release day .

Waiting up rather too far past my bedtime so I can play the first part of it before tomorrow (I have work at 7am) AND SO EXCITED!!

Really. First game I've been this pumped about in years and years.

All I have to say is that this game is fantastic and each level gives you a multitude of ways to play through it. My friend already has 24 playthrough hours so far and has not even completed one playthrough. So far I'm at about six hours of playthrough and I can already tell that I will be experiencing the game at least once more after I finish the first time.

I'm only a few hours in and so far I am rather unimpressed.

I was expecting large ethical issues to arise from the idea of augmenting my character, only to find that I am full augmented already and I'm paying to activate said augments.

Playing in first person could have been cool but I spend so much time in third person (using cover) that it makes me wonder why the game isn't in third person the whole time.

And way to much Bloom for my tastes.

I'd need to play more before I could give my final thoughts on the game but so far I'm rather underwhelmed.

Well I'm loving it so far.

Most of the criticisms have been about the graphics. I couldn't care less. Graphics are the least important part of a game in my mind, and I don't understand why people are dropping it one or two points out of ten just for that. IMO you might knock off a .5 if it doesn't meet your expectations.

It has instantly gained my approval for one thing though:

I am hopeful that more awesomeness is coming.

I just realized last night that it was out and immediately ordered it. My brother decided that after playing through invisible war 6 times and finding every possible secret it was time for a new game and chipped in!

Well, I am about to start it up. Here's hoping it is an improvement on the first two.

Go die in a fire. The first one was awesome beyond belief.

It was good. I wouldn't call it "awesome beyond belief" though. There are MANY other games that would have to take that nod.

I'm still playing through HR. Not bad, but I'm still left underwhelmed. I guess I haven't been able to get over my initial bad feelings about the game.

Oh and the Bloom. WAY to much Bloom

So far its looking good, however your attitude isn't necessary, there are better ways to voice opposition to anothers opinion.

Never the less i am impressed so far, the character textures are good and lip sync seems perfect however i am annoyed that body part specific shots are missing their effectiveness; i have lost count of how many head shots i have gotten only for them to some how have survived and to return fire.

Edit: well it seems it does have body part recognition but it does so very poorly, or only on specific enemies.
