Default Norwegian Retailers Pull Violent Games From Shelves

Quote:
A recent attack in Norway by terrorist Anders Behring Breivik -- who killed 77 people at a political youth camp -- has caused various Norwegian retailers to pull violent video games from their stores' shelves, according to reports by Aftenposten and Gamers Globe. In Breivik's manifesto, he claims to have trained with such games as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Norwegian retailer Coop Norway responded by pulling 51 products from its stores, including games such as Homefront, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and Sniper: Ghost Warrior.

"In light of Friday's horrific events, and [with] respect for those affected, we have chosen to remove simple items from our [lineup]," said Director of Sales at Coop Norway Geir Inge Stokke last week.

And other countries should follow that brilliant example so there won't be any more tragedies. Next step should be banning of all violent movies.

Yeah, that will totally work.

Good old blame it on the games/movie/books/comics/dungeons and dragons/________.

Nothing should be changed after such an atrocity about from the policing sorting out there Helicopters and processes, anything else is giving in to the idiot who perpetrated it.

Edit: On another note some British kids got attacked by a polar bear while on a trip to Norway today, had to use a satellite phone to get help.

He slaughtered them because it was a remote location, doesn't matter what he said he 'trained with' That and no matter how realistic those games are it is not the same as looking in the eyes of someone and pulling the trigger. This reaction is meh political crap in reaction to something tragic.
