DOW 1 was great and I loved the expansions they did mainly soul storm, 2 was fun , and retribution made it better but in 3 I just see them straying further and further away form what 40k fans really want.

I said it once Ill say it again online gaming is destroying video games...

Anyhow screw DOW im waiting on Diablo 3

Online gaming is changing video games, not necessarily destroying them... just we dont get to enjoy the luxuries we used to as greedy bastards run the gaming companies.

edit:

its like Music, remember when it used to be real, cool, and all about not selling out? now its all about the 'bling' and such *shudder*

true enough its just ya know many times I just wanna play a game with story and thought into it. I am so tired MMOs they are almost essentially the same gaem with different char. The game has no end nor any reason to even play except to level up and the next best item bla bla bla. Either that or its a FPS game all about deathmatching and frag fests

And now, gaming is about achievements and pretty graphics.

Writer of crappy fics, I hope you might derive some enjoyment from them.

Good god if they actually make DoWIII like that, id buy like 20 copies just for the hell of it

Unfortunately, this is just a pipe dream and they probably want to make it into a mmo/ starcraft multiplayer clone that has been excessively watered down...
Fuck Firestorm over Kronos and those god dam Closer to Codex shit. If I want to play table top rules, I play the god dam table top. The subliminal point of Dawn of War is to grant the freedom of fielding bajillions of land raiders and tanks on the field vs bajillions of squiggoths and orks. In other words, I want to play a war, not a skirmish.

You're whining a whole lot, but Firestorm over Kronus has a much bigger scale than any of the mainline Dawn of Wars. Please be more informed.

I actually always thought it would be a cool idea to make a straight table top video game variant like the old final liberation was.

I think would help to even snag more players and it would be great for the lot of us that don't get to play often.

Think about the DLC invovled in a game like this: whehn new codex update comes out THQ can release a patch to update the game and even add in whatever new units come out.
