Fucking hypocritical overhyped bullshit of a lazy reporter with nothing better to do than jump on an overweighted bandwagon of people who think they're in the know.

Complaining about a lack of technical innovation and interest in games, then provides link to platformers, states Wii Bowling, says Final Fantasy 3 would still be played if there was DLC because it was that good.

Excuse me while I take a fucking shit in your mouth. *journalism*. Don't make me fucking chuckle.

Side note - Since when does innovation have to equal fun? I love CoD. The fact I can sit down, play single player, and enjoy the game from start to finish with a fairly epic storyline. Or I can go online, shoot kiddies in the face with a weapon, have fun making dick around classes.

Alternatively, I can go on Project Reality/Arma2 for realism, OR I can go on Battlefield 3 for combining the two.

Entire point nullified by not liking Final Fantasy III and liking COD.

Writer of crappy fics, I hope you might derive some enjoyment from them.

CoD sucks, FF after 7 sucked (with the exception of the FF7 Crysis Core on the PSP, that was actually quite good in the style of the original FF7)

I am insulted by the amount of bullshit people are pulling lately, DLC, the very linear copy the guy before you attitude, which does NOT JUST PERTAIN TO CONSOLE GAMES, its been happening for ages, and I can name multiple PC ONLY games that do it too.

point is: DLC is the thing that will ruin us. the other shits been going on for ages.

plus: 20 hour games are SHORT, WTB old school 100+ hour games

The problem is people want other things. I stated before that we have 15 big push titles coming out this year that are FPS games. It's not because the stories would be told better in that manner, it's because companies want to make the next Call of Duty (in terms of sales). So they rehash the same game in hopes of taking over the top spot.

I want gaming companies to take risks. The industry NEEDS to take risks with their games. When the VAST majority of the major titles for the year are of 1 type of game there is a problem. It is an even bigger problem when that 1 type of game is currently designed to stretch it's life through DLC such as map packs for online multiplayer. Their stories, which could be more epic then any military movie we've seen in decades, are regulated to a 4-6 hour single sit-down run through.

I could argue with a few things here, like everyone trying to be the next big CoD, as CoD SUCKS, its become a cash cow after MW1, which SUCKED but everyone wanted to play it. And Battlefield didnt 'copy' CoD persay, they did take the looking down sights, but which game ultimately did that first, i wonder? I cant even remember, but i do remember that the whole looking down the sights was a huge hit and everyone copied it.

the wii introduced a casual market with motion controls, biggest mistake ever IMO. and it made Sony and Microsoft go apeshit crazy to mimic and improve it.

Sony and Microsoft have been going apeshit to mimic Nintendo for awhile now. Anyone remember rumble packs? How about that analog stick? No innovation was coming out of those companies anyways, so there's a small loss, it's just a shame they're way too popular.

that should end with the WiiU, i think, jackal. As the only reason the PS3 and Xbox were / are more popular then nintendos latest releases is... well the gamecube sucked balls, and the wii didnt have the graphical power as Xbox or PS3
