Depending how much I like the ELC AMX when I get to it, I may just drop the French line to make room for both Russian lines (Med and IS respectively). Also planning to get some higher tier Arty in somewhere - the only thing putting me off is the price of ammunition. I'm still saving for my StuGIII for pity's sake!

I dropped the ELC AMX, it was ok but it was weird, the whole light tank destroyer is a bit of a one hit wonder unless you sit back and snipe but there's better tanks for that. I got the BRD G1B's best gun and it's as strong as anything the KV can use and a lot better at sniping.

I'm trying to go with one nation per class. At the moment I have the British Cromwell for my medium tank line, the American M8A1 for the Tank Destroyer Line and the French BRD G1B for the Heavy Tank line.

Not sure about artillery, I tried the German Artillery in the past and it was good but the game style doesn't appeal to me. I might go for the Russian light tank line for the final class.

I don't much like the German arty on account of how slow-firing it is. I started with the Bison and promptly sold it a handful of games later. Even with max upgrades it still underperformed (though I did once take out a Churchill I with it). I was considering the French or Russian arty (apparently SU-5s are dead accurate), as I don't really like the aesthetics of the US SPGs.

Also, I don't particularly like the BRD G1B because it's slow moving with poor side and rear armour, meaning you're easy meat for tanks like Crusaders, Cromwells, T-34s, M4s etc etc. Also, I'm not a huge fan of heavy tanks in general - it's not my playstyle. Not that that will stop me from trying to get an IS-7.

I tried the french arty, it fires quickly but it's not accurate and the damage is pretty poor. If I go russian artillery it means I have to go light tank for the germans and I'm already up to the leopard on that but then it only has one tank to go before the line comes to an end.

Isn't that the highest tier light tank anyway (or is that the US line)? Russian lights don't go above the Tier IV A-20 IIRC.

French light tanks go up to Tier 8 but then moves on to medium

German up to tier 5 but can't move on to medium.

British up to 5 before transferring into medium

American finishes at 5 and can't go on.

Russian finishes at 5 with the T-50-2 and can't go on either.

French seems to have the longest light line but they are peculiar light tanks that seem to be mini TDs and the ELC AMX has poor scouting abilities.

The french Lights are great, they do get proper turrets after the ELC with big autoloader guns on them. They're slightly overshadowed just now by the US Autoloader line but dont let that put you off. Tehy are good and lead to the BatChat, one of the best tier X's in the game.

I got mine back because there's a deal where it's like half the price on it.

Any pointers that can be given on the Pz III/IV? I'm really not enjoying it at the moment, as it has paper armour, but doesn't quite have the gun or speed to match it. Also just unlocked the T49. I now have a choice between buying that or the StuGIII first after I've saved up another 100k credits.

The Pz III/IV is a bit meh really, but stick it out because the 3001 and 3601 after it are excellent. Your gun is accurate and fairly fast firing so you're a support tank really, sit back and cover peoples flanks etc.
