As for the Russians, would it not be better to try and get down onto the IS route, as isn't the IS-7 one of the best tanks in the game? Though I wouldn't mind sticking to the T-34-85 side of things.
For me the Tiger H was a great fun tank to play and I'm still in the Tiger II, about 80K xp deep towards the E75. You're getting into long range, heavily sloped armour tanks which are pretty slow all in all, compared to the high tier US and Russian tanks. They're not the best but they're not awful either. If you like playing medium tank then go the E-50 route as it's far better overall. I like playing heavy tanks so the Tiger H line suits me, your mileage may vary.

I had forgotten you could go from the KV-13 into the IS. Yeah the IS line is good but similar to the german lines it depends what you prefer playing. The IS-7 is great if you manage to not kill yourself in the IS-8 and the T-62A is an amazing medium so you're not losing anything choosing one line over the other.

I disagree, I was up in the 60%+ WR's in my Cromwell and Comet before some drunken playing ground that back down. You can go into one on ones and win if you know what your opponent is driving. KV-1S's are the favourite target after the first shot you've got 12s to just sit and shoot him accurately before you have to move again. Last night I went 4 on 1 in my Comet against Tier 6/7 came out 3:1 up on kills. Ok I could have probably done something more sensible, but nothing more fun.

You make is sound like the Maus isn't good. Is that so? I mean I'm sure it's a arty magnet, but is it a decent tank otherwise? (I'll be quite sad if so, I've wanted a Maus since I started playing.)
Do you have the upgraded turret for the Tiger P yet? That helps a bit. Also sit further away, it doesn't affect you much with the L71 and it means more shots will land on your hull than your turret.

The Maus is ok, thats all you can say about it really. It's a massive block of HP's and armour but it's so slow that it's hard to catch things with your enormous bang gun. It's no use for Clan Wars at least, but then neither is the E-100 yay.

Make it scout.

I might just go heavies with one tank, and mediums with the other. I'll end up with British and French mediums anyway, plus a US TD, German TD and British Heavy. Though I think I prefer playing medium to heavy, simply because as a heavy you're pretty much a painted target as soon as you're spotted. Probably go the heavy route with Ruskies just because the IS line is better than the Tiger one.

Got my Jagdpanther. Fucking hell so much nicer than the piece of shit Jagdpanzer IV that was before. Got the top gun and radio mounted and the engine and suspension is decent enough that I'm tempted to just leave them and grind on up to the Ferdinand. See how it goes, may get bored and decide to upgrade the engine anyway.

Also playing some arty at the moment in an SU-26. Its proving to be a long grind to get the SU-5. Tempted to go back and get back into KV'ing but the price of ammo kinda puts me off.

If the Maus could go faster than 20 km/h then maybe people would heh.

That's a good split to go down as the german medium line is better than the heavy and the IS is good. I'm in the KV line (Ending in the IS-4) but to be honest they're pretty similar at the top end.

The Jagdpanther is a nice step up from the JagdPz IV even though tier VII is my least favourite tier. Arty is a huge Grind all the way up, I need another 130K xp to get out of my GW Panther

Oh arty, how I loath thee. Well not arty its more the fuck heads who don't protect arty and then start calling arty players faggots when its pointed out to them that we are 5:2 down and its only the 3rd minute. Then I see them crying for some fire support and why isn't arty helping them. Fuck you dickhead, you want to win, got to work together.

The AMX40 is hilarious and awful at the same time. It's basically a baby heavy. You've got double the armour of everyone else are your tier and a lot people right up to Tier 6 just cannot pen you. If you're top tier just cruise the shortest route to the enemy base, you're too slow to do anything else. If you're bottom tier then start crying.Stick with it though and you get the unparalleled joy of the AMX ELC

Yeh, I had a look around, and discovered that the best tactic for the AMX 38 and 40 is to get as close as possible, because then it doesn't really matter how shite the gun is. But the main reason I chose this tree was for the ELC, so I'll just persevere.

What's really hacking me off though is the Churchill - you have to pretty much go through every single gun, all of which are terrible up until the last one, until a) you have a decent gun and b) you can research the VII. More to the point, it's almost impossible not to get detracked...

It's worth going though the Churchill I as that gets you to top gun for the Cromwell as well. Also I rocked a 50% WR in my Churchill 1 but in my Churchill VII is rocking a 68.57% WR so I think it's worth powering though the Churchill I. Just make sure you get the Vickers HV first.

The top gun on the Churchill VII is also the top gun on the Comet so it's good to grind both trees at the same time.

Ah thanks, that gives me hope. I am playing my Crusader parallel to the Churchill, and enjoying it far, far more. I didn't bother with the top gun on it though, as it's such a minor upgrade from the previous one that it isn't worth the xp.

I think I must suck with heavies though, as I only have like a 25% WR with my Churchill I. However, I have been on some pretty shocking teams of late, so that's probably part of it. Also, because I'm playing about 7 tanks simultaneously, I only play until I win my first round of the day (double xp), so I start racking up losses with no wins to counter them. Obviously the solution is to concentrate on one or two tanks so I get more wins in, but I find I get bored too easily (except for possibly in the Crusader).
