Well silencers barely silence real guns as it is, so don't quite agree on that point.

What about silencers using sub-sonic ammunition.....

Everyone has a purpose, just so happens mine is more of an example to others of what NOT to do.

I know it's time to go to bed when the last post in every thread has been written by me.

It's not the bullet, it's the expanding gasses and the mechanical movement.

Silencers reduce by 20-50db maximum.

Alternatively they could read a book instead of relying on hollywood and a journo's POV - especially as we're often talking SO and on more deliberate ops rather than routine patrol work - and I don't think that many journalists will be sent on missions like the capture of MV Nisha, The siege of Qala-i-Janghi, Operation Anaconda, or on Hunter Killer missions. If you're interested, though, have a read at Bloody Heroes (and pretty much any Damien Lewis book), An Ordinary Soldier by Doug Beattie MC, and Do Or Die by Sandra E Lee.

True, but not silencers that eliminate all noise, but the "sexed up" noise that they currently produce.

Not a clue what you're on about.

i had left this page open on my screen and your new comment hadn't come up, so i clarified my silencers bit.
