Default DC Universe Online MMO

Anyone getting or currently playing this?

I'm tempted since I'm getting burnout on all my current games. Plus the thought of playing the "Super Jez", "Jezman", "Poison Jezzie" or perhaps even "Wonder Jez" (the transvestite) is appealing.

I was talking to Katie about this and apparently the game is bugged to fuck right now, the character creation is really limited (especially compared to Champions Online and City of Heroes/Villains), but on the plus side the physics engine (when it works) is a thing of beauty.

Hitting someone so hard they crash into a car and then continuing to 'fly' away, along with the car, or crashing into the ground at a high enough speed that everyone around you is sent sailing off their feet.

Personally I'm gonna wait a few months to let them get the biggest initial bugs sorted, but after that you'll see me zipping about flicking the V's.

Edit: going to get back into C.O when it goes F2P (Free 2 Play) on the 25th, because I used to be a subscriber I get a couple of extra perks over other F2P'ers, like the ability to create a Super Group- I'm thinking The Heretics with the SG costume in black, red, and gold.

It's a hell of a lot of fun so far, despite the launch bugs. But frankly, I'm a bitter EVE vet so I'm used to bugs. So far, SOE haven't released a patch that accidentally deletes your boot.ini so CCP are still unique in that regard.

Anyway, for PC users, if you're locking up, turn off v-sync. It's solved my crash problems completely. The devs are still looking into it, however.

And while the character creator IS limited in comparison to Champions etc, the gameplay so far more than makes up for it, in my opinion. It's truly an MMO 3d beat 'em up. And PVP is a hell of a lot of fun. Flying about, dropping from the sky, wtfpwning some clueless guy and taking off again before he realizes what just happened? Instant classic!

I am done with super hero games for now. I am just really done with MMOs, they are t much of a distraction.

Back to the OP, I have heard it is crap right now from several folks that where in the beta.

A lot of companies have been pushing out shit games lately when they should have stayed in beta for a few more cycles. FFXIV is a prime example of that, 3 months after release and the game is just now getting playable.

I've been playing it on PC and it's great. The only problem is the regular downtime.

On the subject of Rat Ogres:
But if we give them laser eyes and mounted guns, we'll have to bring in Clan Skryre, and everyone knows how much those limp-tailed snuff addicts overcharge.
