Dawn of War or Halo Wars?

Okay, having recently got a 360 for christmas, I've been playing on Halo Wars a bit, and once I got used to it, I realised that it's essentially Dawn of War, but for Halo Wars.

So the only question is, which one do you think is better?

Ovbiously, DoW has more races and is in the 40k universe, so that's what I'm guessing more people will like. Also, yes, I know HW's been out for a while, it's just that I haven't played on it before christmas.

Easily DoW in my opinion. Halo is just shit and completely overrated and does'nt really do anything that stands out to me. Same as CoD and many other "good" games.

Halo Wars is easily one of the best RTS games on the 360, and I love it. I bought the collectors edition on the day it was released! I like the fact that it is fast paced and all, but I still voted for Dawn of War, cause Dawn of War is the best RTS around...

Halo Wars is the best on the 360, while Dawn of War is the best on the computer. I voted for Dawn of War, cause in reality it is better, for the computer is a lot better suited for RTS games than a console...

It's definitely one of the best RTS on the Xbox, no question, but that's like saying being a stuck on a island with Susan Boyle and Barbara Windsor that Barbara Windsor is a right fit lass- she's not, she's just the best of a bad lot.

I think Dawn of War is a really good game, in fact I reinstalled Soulstorm last night and intend to give it a proper go (before eventually growing bored and not playing it for 6 months as I do with all my RTS').

True. Halo Wars is like a downgraded version of Dawn of War, but it does it in a good way... Its not complicated, it is extremely simple (My 9 year old brother can play it without any trouble), while Dawn of War is a bit more complicated...

Halo Wars is only really great in the aspect that it's one of the few RTS games on the Xbox 360 that don't make you want to rip the eyes from one's sockets and jump off a cliff. It's a cool game, but it's not really a great game. You are limited to two armies which vary only by your leadership choices. This gets monotonous over time as everyone nails down predictable build orders and narrow unit-counter options. The single-player cinematics are wonderfull, though.

Compared to the Dawn of War games, there is simply so much more to take advantage of just about everywhere you look. Even when you put the terrible writing staff aside.

I'd go for Halo wars, dawn of war was too easy and too boring, felt like I had to update it every 5 minutes (strangely updates that always made guard worse) and just looked like piss even on release.
