Built mine last year on a very tight budget Old Rig got flooded and I had to replace it with something quick to feed my need to game. When I get off unemployment I'm looking to build a new monster Rig.

Currently:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.5ghz (unoverclocked)
4 GB of Ram (Crucial Ballistix Ram great stuff)
GeForce 250 by BFG (1gb)
1 TB hard Drive
Reaper (think they became Steel Series) Gaming mouse
Random Keyboard from Microcenter
Random Headsets from Micro Center
Headphones Broken
Non HD LCD Monitor (old monitor had to replace my TV. 32in)

Whole thing cost me $400 to build and I got it in 1 trip.

I am sticking with quad cores for now, I could have gotten a hexacore but decided against it.

I wanna water cool mine next and bump up the ram to 8 GBs.

I'm just running a laptop, not designed for gaming.

Dual 2.1Ghz processors
3GB RAM
256MB Nvidia video card
250GB HDD + external 1TB HDD
15.4" 1280x800 monitor + external 24" 1920x1080 Samsung monitor
Running Windows 7 Ultimate

Plays all games made up till 2007/2008, and some of the less graphics intensive games released post 2008.
Fallout 3 is about where it starts getting laggy. Things like Bioshock and The Witcher run without skipping a beat though.

But i really dont have much time for video games these days anyway, so my current setup is good enough for what i want it for (internet basically).

If you're gonna water cool, take it to a shop that does the work and pay for it. Had a friend that did that and he had a leak that shorted his computer.
