Default Gran Turismo 5

So anybody got it, or play it? I've found the game to be excellent. Graphics are great, with some of the backgrounds being stunning. Soundtrack could be improved but it can't have everything can it?

So opinions? Hate it? Love it? Is it having your babies? what opinions do the heretics have on this title?

never really been a fan of the GT series, smashing a car at hundreds of miles an hour into a wall should do a little bit more than slow you do, that alone makes it too unrealistic.

They have worked on some of the crashing issues. You have certain tracks you can't go off course or crash at all with out losing.

Anybody make it past the Gran Turismo Championship in the Professional level? I keep getting smoked and need a car suggestion to win it all.

No, but that's more because most car manufacturers don't like their car being shredded, and thus does not allow GT to actually apply visual damage on a car. There is a option for "damage" in the game, wich makes your car behave jerky or make it pull to a direction, but shamefully, no dents or burning carcasses.

Yup, though they could have did that with the Nascar cars in the game

On another note, I have determined that drinking while playing GT5 does not improve on my ability to operate a motor vehicle

the nascar cars are mostly names as impala's, wich is a chevolet brand
So yes, no visual damage on them.

B-spec sucks tho.

My driver K. griffith and C(oronel) Lynch cannot beat a utterly awesome corola and a golf in a 550-ish PK-, pimped out-, tuned up Corvette Stingray.

SERIOUSLY. Use the pedal to go forward and smoke them away or something!
