I always prefered Mass Effect to Dragon Age, as I just don't enjoy the gameplay of Dragon Age enough.

I have Dragon Age on PC (player made senerios are a great feature) but the point and click just doesn't do it for me. I'm looking more towards Dragon Age 2, as there are supposed to be gameplay changes for it.

Vaz I'd recommend picking up Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 (it's out in January) and it comes with hours of extra content to cover most of the information you would have missed from not playing Mass Effect 1.

Good game, but can't compare to old RPGs like Baldurs series. I didn't like too much fighting, especially near the end. Also, main villain is lame and with no personality. S

Dragon age 2 doesn't look too promising to to me, but I' ll definitely play it. Things like fixed character, selection wheel from ME etc I don't like. While I like Mass Effect, I don't think its good for game like this one.

Haven't played Awakening.

I agree that it can't compare to games like Baldur's Gate or Fallout. The worst part about having played those games so much back in the day is that nowadays I compare every RPG to them and they just don't measure up.

I liked Dragon Age though, the storyline is good and the characterization and interactions with the NPCs in the game is great. Pretty much the only real problem that I have with the game is the framerate (I also have the PS3 version).

I'm looking forward to playing Mass Effect 2 even though I don't really like the gameplay of it as much. I was expecting Dragon Age with guns when I first played Mass Effect 1 but I was very much mistaken on the mechanics of that game.

I've only just got Dragon Age: Origins and haven't played it yet, but am looking forward to as it looks like a great game and I've heard a lot of good things about. I've got the Ultimate edition for PC (I always prefer games like this on PC for the better graphics and the ability to mod them).

To be honest I really should get around to playing, seeing as Dragon Age 2 is getting closer and closer.

Regards,
Jake.

I'm not sure about DA:2, but as you say, if it stays moddable, there are more and better tools, and more and better options, then hell yes.
