Yeah. People have been complaining of connectivity issues like there's no tomorrow so I'm glad I'm not alone. The problem with tight-quarter CoD games is that split second decisions, which are common in games where a few hits will kill you, are entirely at the mercy of how good your connection is when two equally 'skilled' players are thrown in toe to toe.

I may have fired my shotgun first in to your face, but because your connection was better, you were able to fire five shots and kill me when I appeared to not have even fired once.

Black Ops vs. BC2? BC2 is much better in my eyes since it actually requires strategy, communication and team work if your squad is going to do any good. CoD is all about rediculously mindless gunplay with a focus on the individual rather than the team. Still, I enjoy playing CoD just because of the rediculousness factor. Though if you've purchased Black Ops for anything aside from the multiplayer action and perhaps the zombie thing, you've made a mistake. As I've demonstrated better plot-lines after a Taco Bell feast on my toilet.

If they haven't fixed their networking to a satisfactory degree by the Holidays so that I'm confident it'll run smooth at my place, I'll probably forget about picking this game up. At least over my friends places, I find that matchmaking suffers from unplayable amounts of lag.

Is it possible to have 8 players on 2 xboxes over linkup yet. That was my only gripe with previous COD games. Were getting bored of reach all the time so half of us play COD and I think whats the point of me bringing my TV n Xbox and everyone getting together just to play different games.

Yay 50th post

Like a few here, I might get it for a Christmas present, otherwise I might stick to BC2 and MW2.. in that order too!
Wouldn't even bother getting it for free. Ask for MoH and Monopoly instead.

Incidentally, the Monopoly is awesome. I can finally have a Monopoly drinking game without the risk of having a hotel launched into my eye or some girl having a battleship planted in her knickers.

I enjoyed it enough, the story wasn't as strong as MW1 and MW2 to be sure, but the whole sleeper cell brainwashed idea is nice, confusing in parts yes, but a little thinking easily figures out whats going in, plus it should be confusing, that was the whole point in sleeper cells and brainwashing after all.

zombie mode I'm enjoying, haven't played it online yet as I just don't have the time to fully enjoy it, but playing as a president against zombies is amusing.

multiplayer I haven't tried yet either obviously

at least its not BC2, shit story, shit characters, shit multiplayer.

I agree with everything with the exception of 'shit' multiplayer. Aside from the herds of Recon spammers, I greatly enjoyed my experience with Bad Company 2. To each our own, though. I definitely miss my AN-94.

Well seeing as I have the patch I needed now I can say I do like this game. I followed the story pretty well, really you only need to listen to the last few levels commentary to get it. And the multiplayer is defiantey more balanced then mw2s. Seen hardly any tubers and there doesnt seem to be any akimbo 1887 type affair in the game.

BC2s SP story was shite, I agree with you there Stella. MP isnt too bad however.

Go on just click the little guy you know you want to

Well, after completing the story I can say I enjoyed it. Been awhile since a single player game has kept me engaged but it was good. *Thumbs Up*

Multiplayer is based on two weapons, and two perks - L96 and Commando SMG, with the Ghost Pro and Ninja pro perks, the former especially with the L96 (especially Silenced on Hardcore).

Honestly, reading all these posts, i don't understand all the hate for this game. The campaign blew me away, story was not 'weak' at all. I understood it well. Or is this just some unreasoned hate for Treyarch? "Oh no, they used infinity wards game engine, their games must be shit lol!"

Sorry if i sound a little angry but i found this game to be several orders of magnitude better than Modern Warfare and World at War, as did a few of my mates.

I am the devourer of worlds and the plunderer of planets. I am the bane of races, the destroyer of intelligence. I am the omnipotent and you will all bow before me.
