Anyone answer me this;

If you buy the CD for a game (For example DoWII) You can get the disks and the expansion for like 10 off amazon right. Can you like; embed the CD version into Steam, or can steam only work with games you've bought through the Steam-Store itself.

Because I'd happily play DoWII: Chaos rising- But not if I have to pay through Steam; Because it's like 20+30 opposed to a 10er.

aaaah Steam. Is this the application that makes me download 4gb of updates every 5th or so time I play Dawn of War 2, where my monthly allowance is 5gb, and the 4gb is not required because my game works just fine and in fact the 4gb is for mulit-player issues which I never use and never signed up for, and I cant opt out of the automatic download once its started and in fact cant play the game without it, not even off-line?

Steam can go shaft itself. Im not buying the next DOW2 installment because of Steam.

The only complaints I ever hear these days about Steam, now almost all the bugs are ironed out, are from Australians.

Don't blame Steam for your country's ISPs and their hilariously outdated and arbitrary download limits. It works fine for the rest of the world, which suggests the problem is somewhat closer to home. For a system which is so heavily tied into and originally at least partially created for multiplayer functionality, it'd be something of a travesty to NOT standardise the versions of games people can play online.

Not a personal attack at all, just an observation.
