Default Diablo 3

I've watched a couple of videos of the gameplay and there's a little piece about it in the game informer I just got in the mail. But could Diablo 3 ever really overshadow diablo 2's epic replayability? My brother and I would spend hours online just trading runes and weapons we'd found, not to much all the time we spent levelling character after character, exploring different builds and gear combinations. It was epic! Not to mention, it's still a damn fun game without battle.net. As a fan of the series, all I can say is that I hope the years and years of waiting is well worth it.

WoWablo III likely won't replace Diablo II for me at all. I'm yet to be impressed by it.

It would be nice to be surprised, though. But seriously, doesn't look like it should still be taking so much time to get out already.

Yeah, I mean... I literally still play Diablo II at least once a week. I dislike how the Necromancer was basically replaced by a Caribbean guy wearing leaves, though given that it's a new game, new classes are a given so that's not an entirely valid argument to hold against the game. I'm just shaky about all of it

If Blizzard can pull off a game worthy of the Diablo title, I'll be more than happy, but I shall remain skeptical about it all.

I hear ya. I think they should have kept all the classes from Diablo 2 and just added more. THe gender choosing is pretty cool. You'd think they'd add some real customization, one thing I hate is running around and seeing a bunch of people who look exactly like me.

Ressurecting a dead thread, get over it...

... From what I've read, heard and seen, Diablo 3 is going to be one of those games where it will be a commercial success, reviewers will LOVE IT and speaking bad about it will lead you to your death... Just like Starcraft II.

However, I am really doubting that this game will live up to the legacy. Unlike others who see the surface and think all is fine and dandy, I can sense that there will be some major fuck ups.

Regardless, we all know that we are all going to play it and most probably love it lol.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

I've played it twice at the 2 Blizzcons I went to - seemed pretty badass to me. But I don't know how it will hold up over the years as D2 did. I played Diablo 2 for 8 years or so, and could still continue playing it, no matter how outdated it has become. Hopefully D3 proves to be the same.

It's hardly fair to liken it to Starcraft 2.

I mean, the full version of the game's not scheduled to be released for another 2 years.
