What about the "Leader" from NES Bionic Commando. It was Hitler for God's sake.

The creepiest playable character in any game, bar none, is Kefka Palazzo (he of Final Fantasy VI). He's a very very strong competitor for the creepiest boss too. The fact that most games feature only good guys, or at worst, anti-heroes as playable characters means that Kefka is far and away the worst there is.

Yes, he's playable in Dissidia Final Fantasy. If you haven't played it, Dissidia Final Fantasy is pretty simple, twenty main heroes and villains from the first ten final Fantasy games come together and have a big fight for all the marbles.

There are nine other villains besides Kefka - all of them pretty unpleseant and even they, mass-murderers, wicked witches and eldritch horrors, are creeped the hell out by Kefka.

And he's a blast to play.

Looking for a friendly wargaming club on the Isle of Wight? Drop me a line.

also i agree on the chaos stages on fire warrior. Poor game but some of the settings were very gothic and creepy and in keeping with 40k.

You don't know scary until you've played System Shock 2 and met Shodan.

I also nominate Granfalloon from Castlevania because it's a giant fucking ball of dead bodies!
