So... you're saying there's a better shooter out there than Goldeneye? What drugs are you on? I want them.

Favorite old games? Most of these are still good today compaired to current games. Hell some are still even sold.

1. Everquest. MMO players that claim to be "hardcore" have nothing if they've never raided in EQ from launch till Planes of Power.

2. Chrono Trigger. How many 15 year old games get ported with no updates to graphics/gameplay and are still just as good today?

3. Zelda A Link to the Past. Like Zelda OoT? Link to the Past set the stage for how the game would be played.

4. Breath of Fire 1, 2, 3. Fun JRPG's from the SNES in PS1.

5. Castlevania SotN. They still sell it on Xbox Live and PSN, it still makes money, and it's STILL great.

6. Dragon Force. Great army sim on the Saturn.

7. Dragon Warrior 1, 2, 3. Great NES JRPGs.

8. Donkey Kong Country. Simply stunning, and ahead of it's time.

9. Secret of Mana. To this day theres still not enough Co-OP RPGs out there.

10. Phantasy Star 1, 2, 4, Online. Great RPGs that are worth the playthrough.

11. Street Fighter 2. Nothing need be said.

12. Mega Man/Mega Man X. Nothing need be said here either.

13. Mario 64. <insert laundry list of reasons why this game is amazing>

14. Super Mario World. It's not even fair how good this game is.

15. Tetris. The perfect game.

Goldeneye does not hold up against the test of time, and it has some many gameplay issues for multiplayer it's insane. I'd take Perfect Dark over it any day of the week.

No real order here.

Fall Out
Parasite EVE
Resident Evil 2
Baulders Gate (Minx and Boo rock!!!)
Ice Wind Dale
Xeno Saga
Mech Commander (Still load it up and play it)
Final Fantasy Tactics
Ogre Tactics
Silent Hill
Street Fighter
Mortal Combat (FINSH HIM!!!)
Fatal Frame (Think I have the name right, the one where you take pics of ghosts to kill them)
Mario Cart

Thats what I got off the top of the head.

I've always heard it broken down into 3 separate "chapters" if you will, with BG1, BG2, and BG2:ToB each being there own sagas.

I mean, have you actually tried *playing* it recently? Nostalgia alone is not enough to carry game-play that just did not age well.

Most people can pick up the original Super Smash Brothers with out much problem. Have them try to play a multiplayer game of Goldeneye and watch the pain begin.

You can order the collectors set for about 20 bucks online now.

If you do, I highly recommend the BG Tutu mod. It may sound ridiculous, but it revamps the original BG with the BG2 engine, to include higher resolution, kits, spells, interface, etc and makes it flow as one game. Heck, you only need the ToB disc to play after you install it too!

You know the site? Steam doesn't have it unfortunately, and I'm too paranoid about money scams to just buy it from any site.
