Oh and can you actually interact with your ship in anyway? IE go somewhere that isent the bridge.
From what I can tell and have heard, it's basically WoW in space and the PvP is all arena'd.

How can it be WoW in space?

One involves spaceship flying with a totally different game mechanic. It's as far from WoW as any other MMO i've played.

A lot of people have compared it to EVE. From what I've gathered, most people prefer Star Trek Online's ship system-- it's a lot harder to get lost in space than EVE, apparently. It's one of those games that gets better the more you play it. It takes about 12-15 hours to reach Lieutenant Commander, and once you do, you're able to do a lot more things since you have a lot more choice in what ship you have and can equip a wider variety of items.

There's nothing quite like warping into a firefight right on top of a Negh'var-class warship beating up on some seriously outclassed Miranda-class ships, and blowing it out of the sky with the plasma cannons I stumbled across the other day...

I'm more of a PS3 man myself, and I have my eyes on this little beauty that is rumoured to b released this year:

Also if you like MMO, Warhammer 40k has one of those coming out as well: http://www.bit-tech.net/news/gaming/...mmer-40k-mmo/1

Considering I make the majority of my income in EVE from people who get lost and accidentally (or deliberately) stumble into unprotected space, I wouldn't have it any other way. ;) Hooray for piracy and the honourable, age-old tradition of ransoming anything not bolted down! Plus, it's always fun when a usually-rival pirate group find something big, send out the call, and you get lots of pirates working together for a common goal. Don't get that on arena PvP'd games. =(
