Spawn camping is stupid. As to camping I will say I have been guilty of watching a flank of the main battle. I really do not sit in the same room over and over shooting people as they go by. I agree also that campers usually do not win anything except scorn.

No matter where you go in life,
Whatever be your goal.
Keep your eye upon the doughnut,
And not upon the hole.

i think the main way of geting rid of campers in cod5 is definitly the tanks, specialy when they are that stupid that they try to fire light arms at it, i mean, usually when they fire the bazooka, you see the trail, aim at them and kill them, easy kill.

but i absolutly hate spawn campers, whats that going to prove, that you play unfairly?

although i agree with camping, i mean look where codwaw is set, ww2, if you were in that situation, would you rather stay at a good location, that is rather safe, or run around, get killed lots and just end up loosing the game for your team? (cod5 team deathmatch)

i also beleive in sniping, its always fun to counter-snipe a sniper, or come up with awsome ways of killing them, specialy when they dont have the equipment for their guns, i personally like the FG42 for this, as its pretty accuarate with the sights, and has enough rate of fire to be able to get out of sticky situations.

generally though, im one of those people that run round with a suppresed thompson, on hardcore team deathmacth, with the skill that blocks you off the radar, and gives you better penetration thru walls. its a nasty combo, specially when the enemy relies on radar to find people. its also crazy when your always moving around.

also, a way to get the most out of a camping spot, is camp at one spot, get killed a few times, then after maybe getting killed 2-4 times, move to a new spot, with your old spot in veiw, that way, anyone that knew your old location, will try to attack it again, or some stupid people will try to use it.

talking specifically about cod waw id say theres nothing wrong with camping. ive played games against teams of snipers which is damn annoying, but none of them had guys covering their backs. If any of us broke through we just had our way with them.

concerning the guys that sit in dark corners waiting for someone to come through a door or some such, all the latest cod games have had the ability to shoot through walls - if you know someones there you can cap them, grenade them, whatever! If you really dont like what they're doing, you can ignore them, theyll stop getting kills, get bored and stop doing it.

I recall a game of cod 4 where i killed a number of 'campers' on one life just by popping head shots as soon as i entered the room they were camping.

hehe, i also remember being a kid.. maybe 8 years old, playing james bond 007 on the n64. My brothers got angry when i camped, so they teamed up and killed me, so i stopped.

I think its a valid tactic and can - in most cases it can be overcome.
