Default Warhammer 40k MMORPG

I Hope no one else has posted this yet, because this thread would be a waste. there is a Warhammer 40k mmorpg coming out, probably ages of now. here is where i heard about it:

http://au.gamespot.com/news/6166560.html

And things I would like to see:

Different currency for different races, not just called 'gold' or 'credits', for example:
orks = teef and so on.

Big battles between two factions every now and then.

many skills like in other mmorpg's, but a new skill tree known as:

Large scale Warfare:

Only for use when in big battles between factions, allows the command of squads (you give orders to them but you dont control them.
Artillery warfare: you control a stationary tank or mount a turret on a mobile tank during warfare, requires certain levels of an artillery skill for more powerful tanks.
no full control of tanks so that battle isnt too easy.

Post your ideas, They probably wont be in the game at all, but i like to hope.

Lol, that article was posting on Feb 28th of last year. It will be awhile before we hear more on this one.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

Well, as it seems that it won't be released for a while, I'm getting the regular WAR Online first

Sort of burnt out on wow, an mmporg would have to be different than the current ones offered.

telsa risa sounds need and is a step in the right direction as is conan with a darker game. But mmo's reward time spent more than anything else and to be competative you need to spend large amounts of time playing in a row un interupted...
i can't play an hour here, an hour there and be good.

Yeah, well the Space Marines never dropped forty thousand feet in a drop pod WITHOUT power armor.

Gah. WoW sucked ass. I never want to play that horrible game again (seeing as I suck at it). Still, WAR online looks cool. Only 40 levels to gain. WoW seemed to have too many levels. I got to level 46 with 10 days /played. Oh well. WAR here I come!

I used to play WoW its a good game if you put the effort in( I had two level 70's) but kinda sucked once the expansion came out and the game changed alot in raiding and pvp. Also a 40k mmorpg would suck, controlling one character... that never happens in 40k theres only massive armies fighting on entire planets in a massive galaxy, except maybe say being the commander of a army I dont see it working.. at all.

They shall be pure of heart and strong of body, untainted by doubt and unsullied by self-aggrandisement. They will be bright stars in the firmament of battle. Angels of Death whose shining wings bring swift annihilation to the enemies of Man. So it shall be for a thousand times a thousand years, unto the very end of eternity and the extinction of mortal flesh.

ya, to get a lot out of wow you needed to put time in. i had a couple 70's, one kitted out with season 3 arena gear(he was a beast) and he also had serpentshrine level healing gear.
the expansion was not a good thing and i don't think i'll buy wrath of the litch king. it's still the same boring game.
heck for my class a raid involved one spell 99% of the time(life bloom)
just sort of ditched it as the only rewards that where of any use requred weeks of playing 6 hours a night to get. and pvp ment those who played that much more than me where untouchable....the only people that could beat our arena team where the top ones in the battle group and they all had much better gear(still we placed in the top 20), not bad for a bunch that only plays casually.

be nice if both sides started off even, but then it would not be an mmo.

Yeah, well the Space Marines never dropped forty thousand feet in a drop pod WITHOUT power armor.

Ugh please god no, i have other things to do with my life. This will destroy me. WoW almost got me but i mustered the strength and left before it stuck its hooks in me for good. A 40k MMO would harm me in immesurable ways. It would be a life vampire come to take my very soul and chain me to my computer.

CURSE YOU MMO MAKING PEOPLE!

>> Depends on how they build the game. If for example you are limited to say Inquisitors and retinues, which could be cool, as long as peeps play the game wi one person as the Inquisitor, and others as retinue members eg Inquisitor novice(?), servitor etc, then I reckon it could work well, but if you got a group of 10 Inquisitor Lords running about together, then it could get boring pretty quick. Could be good, could be sucky. as said, depends on groups of players.
