Default Problem with running DOW2

I've downloaded everything that i need to and my computer meets at least the minimum system requirements, but it still says that it can not find supporting hardware or whatever. Any ideas on what the problem might be and a fix for it?

Is the computer ure using connected to the internet?

If you can be a bit more precise with the error I could possibly help (screenshot with the message would be best). Sounds to me like it needs a feature of a graphics card that you don't have. It needs shader model 3 so check for that. Also, make sure your monitor's native resolution is high enough for the game to run (not sure on the minimum).
Do you have any specialist hardware connected (unusual mice or a z-board), if so, try connecting something stock or disconnecting the weird stuff and see if that works.

What would Richard do.......?

also may be worth while downloading all the latest drivers for your hardware like graphics card and sound card (if any), as out of date drivers can cause an issue. by the way is your graphics card an onboard one (built in to the mother board) or a dedicated card?

if its an onboard card, that could be the problem, as most onboard grahics are crap for gameing, if your pc has a spare pci-e slot you can pick up a ati4670 for about £50 (not sure what that be is dollars) and you shouldnt need to upgrade the power surply either.
but try the latest drivers first, i that dont work, then i surgest getting a graphics card like the one i surgested above, its cheap and it will run most games on med to high settings with no problems at all

How long have you had your computer, and have you upgraded the hardware since then, when it came out Dawn of War 2 was (and still is) a demanding game for any computer more than a year old. My computer is just under 4 years old now and Dawn of War 2 was the first game that had to high specifications. Otherwise I'd say it was your Graphics Card, although you could check your RAM a GB should be enough (I think).
