Default Armored Core Players!

The Armored Core series has always been a guilty pleasure of mine, and aside from Silent Line, AC4 is my favorite one so far. I say "guilty pleasure" because the story is usually completely not-understandable, but the game mechanics are done so well that it more than makes up for it. Also, multiplayer is AWESOME!

I've used the same design throughout the series: a tank-leg heavy hitter loaded out with as many grenade weapons as possible. My secondary design, which started in AC3, was a dual-wielding sniper AC with an awesome generator that let me stay in the air for a loooooong time.

Anyone else here play this awesome game? One of the most entertaining things about this series is talking with other players and comparing AC designs; it's pretty much auto-mechanicing for nerds.

I played four. But the Newest one is definitely an improvement, you actual feel like your part of this story, not just a spectator.

Do you have Live Galus? We should have agame sometime or something.

All my mechs can stay in the air indefinitely, except one... But that thing is damn fast.

I only got into this series with AC4. I play the ACFA now and I really enjoy it. I like my mechs to stay in the air, although I do have a few ground ones that are mostly armed with chainguns/ nade launchers or sniper cannons.

Sounds good to me. Though I've lost my copy of AC4. For Answer is much better though

Yeah, AC4 is absolute shit. Armored Core for Answer is, however, fantastic. Fills in *some* of the holes left in the AC4 story line, many more parts, lots of story missions, great arena style action.... ACFA is the shizzle.

Level me up! I, too, wish to storm the lands of mortals reaping what is truly mine...but for now, I am but a wee spot of energy...

Ya I've heard FA is the first actual "sequel" in the AC series, and that your "character" from AC4 returns and flies White Glint. Personally, I like the gameplay in AC4, and I ignore the story for the most part since it's on par with all the other AC's incomprehensible shenanigans. My tag is HeatRay btw; I'm playing through AC4 again because of an unfortunately memory clusterf**k a while back that ended with all of my saved material deleted lol. Lucky for me, AC4 is brutally easy with a heavyweight-artillery AC.

Also, what the hell is a "Jouster?" I've heard the term a few times but I have no idea what would constitute an AC design like that.
