Default Does anyone actually play Warhammer Online now?

Is it me or has the interest in this game flopped dramatically since its release?

I never hear or see anything good about the game now.

I haven't played it in a while mainly because all the guys here I was playing with quit. It was getting boring to play by myself all the time.

Been gone for a while, but Alpharius commands my return

Sales have almost completely stalled in this game. Not just at my place of work. Everyone Wh obought it inside That I talked to said it was just a buggy version of WoW that looked slightly better but that didn't make up for the crapness of it..... Paraphrasing of course....

If you shit in one hand and wish in the other we all know which one will fill up faster.

And as I walk in the valley of the shadow of death I will have no fear For I am the scariest mother f*cker in that goddamned valley!

I know two guys that play it, and that's all. I don't know what kind of miracle it would take to overcome WoW's massive market share, but WAR isn't it.

Many people are going to see WAR as a cheap ripoff of WoW and nothing else. we might know different, but we'd be in a minority.

On the subject of Rat Ogres:
But if we give them laser eyes and mounted guns, we'll have to bring in Clan Skryre, and everyone knows how much those limp-tailed snuff addicts overcharge.

WAR is a PvP game. The PvE aspect of it is only there as a means of gaining XP.

Most WoW players have given up with WAR because they miss dungeon diving and raiding.

Until I canned WoW (thoroughly unimpressed with WotLK) I played both. WoW for Diving and WAR for PvP.

WAR's pvp side far FAR outstrips WOW. However I only PvP rarely so WAR doesn't get much use.

To be able to crack the MMO market in a big way these days you have to be able to grab WoW players and hold them. Which is a hard thing to do.

I'm more PvE than PvP, although LVix in general doesn't like PvP at all, even when shes winning, she feels its too twitchy for her tastes. As I do MMO's to play alongside her, WaR was pretty much stuffed for us when we got to the third tier amd realised how little PvE there actually was.

I did do a month re-sub in March though, just to get all my characters on one server just in case an expansion comes along that might grab out interest, sadly the game seemed as buggy in march as it was back when we left in November. Shame really.

Yeah, I think WAR is slowly fading into oblivion, quite sad really, I was really excited about this game. Although apparently a 40K mmo is coming in a couple years and provided it's not crap i'll buy like a hundred copies!
