Default CoD4 Perks And Set-Ups

How do you like to set yourself up for a game? Do you go for 5 completely different classes, each one optimized for a different situation or level, or do you go for a certain type of weapon, and pass through challenges/train yourself with that weapon?

Myself, when going through the early Prestige Ranks, I go for the First one. Usually a M16, Silencer, and the rest of the Bojangles that I can afford, mainly Stopping Power and Steady Aim, maybe 3x Specials, or Bandolier.

When In the 35's + for the Prestiges, I take more time, and go for optimized with a certain weapon.

I'm currently on 6th Prestige Level 49, having levelled up last night, and currently have:

Good thread. Personally When playing any multiplayer game with classes ( battlefront mostly, but team fortress and the odd Normal shooter like CSS) I usually go for a set up that can help me out in a range of situations. Ususally I'm the basica soldier guy, with assault rifle, grenades, etc. If I have the option I go with body armour. In COD I'm usually what the team needs at the time, generalised guy rarely, heavy weapons a fair bit but mostly sniper because that's where I excel at in COD.....

If you shit in one hand and wish in the other we all know which one will fill up faster.

And as I walk in the valley of the shadow of death I will have no fear For I am the scariest mother f*cker in that goddamned valley!

Damn nature, You Scary!!!

I never prestiged...I'm happy with the 5 stars by my name. I typically run with any weapon plus Stopping Power and Deep Impact (if it's a rifle or LMG) or Steady Aim (if it's an SMG). I don't usually snipe, because I hate people who snipe all the time and refuse to stoop to their level.

I have a variety of different classes. An assault rifle, a sniper, a heavy, a cqb, and a ninja class.

My favorite to use is Ninja. P90 with red-dot. DEagle. 3x frag. Flashbang. And now I'm forgetting the names of the perks, but essentially the "I make no sound while moving" and "you can't see me on your radar when I fire my weapon" ones.

Been gone for a while, but Alpharius commands my return

UAV Jammer for no Radar and Dead Silence for no sound.

Here are my 5 - I'm currently doing the M14 again. I love it, and am just using it for the last XP needed.

Number 1 - Urban/Woodland Close
M14 with Silencer
M1911 with Silencer
3x Stun Grenades
Stopping Power
Extreme Conditioning
Runs in close, takes some headshots, flanks positions, and just causes general disruption. Occasionally swap 3x Stun for Flashbang, or for Bombsquad and Smoke on ones such as Crossfire.
Snipe
M14 with RDS
WI200 with Grip
Claymore
Overkill
Deep Impact
Surprisingly effective. WI200 can take Deagle and M1014 Ammo, and is quick firing. Lacks some of the damage of the M1014, but a bit less accurate = wider spread over short distance = good. RDS on anything Assault Rifle is good. M14 is a Killer as an Anti-sniper weapon. Shotty can swap for DEagle, but it's loud.
Wide open space/plaza maps (Crash/Strike/Crossfire/Bog)
M14 with Silencer
G3 with Silencer
3x Frags
Overkill
Deep Impact
Similar to the other one, but better at longer range, but lacks close range speed/strength. I've got quick with the M14, but usually if someone's closing on me, I just close with them and knife them. The M14 is better at the Mid Ranges, while the G3 can take pot shots at Snipers. I did have an ACOG on the G3, but the accuracy decrease was depressing.
That's what I can remember ;)

I luuuurvv my sniper class, it's an m20(I think, but I like the 3 shot assault rifle too. the single shot assault rifle basically) with an acog scope. Perks are usually stopping power, claymores and steady aim (the accurate hip fire thingymadoo)

i think that might be aimed at me cause i have to snipe all the time, one time i had a shotty so i got into the best sniper spot, reliazed i had a shotty so i switched to me deagle, lol, didnt work.

as for perks, stopping power, with the lag i play with i need to make sure what hits will stop them, also use 3 X frag for my classes, so good at clearing buildings.

as for perk 3 i tend to use marty, free kills so meh or on my sniper i get iron lungs.

weapon addons are usually the red dot sight for making sniping easier.

damn, i feel like playing cod4 now, hmmmmm, might give 5 a break hehe

a warning on a crossbow

BUGGER! I was just about to post this!

The best class for me is an RPD with a Grip. This helps with my favourite role: defending. Sitting back behind cover right next to an objective is great fun. And evil. Very evil. Coupled with Double Tap, allowing me to create an effective wall of bullets, cutting off an access point to the enemy, and recently I've had last stand (for the XP).

Wow. I'm must be a real bastard online.

However, defending objectives is pretty useless if you haven't got any. So, I have a sort of Point Man class, based on speed and taking objectives. I have an AK-74SU (I think that's what it's called) with a red dot sight. Using the perks Sleight of Hand and Extreme conditioning, it's pretty easy to take objectives and run and gun.

So yeah, my classes. There are more, but I only really use these ones.
